Two men have been charged with assaulting two off-duty police officers on a busy Sydney road, which left one of them needing CPR.
Police were told the two constables, both aged 25, were leaving a concert in Newtown when they came across three men having an argument on Enmore Road about 11pm on Wednesday.
It's alleged both officers were assaulted, with one repeatedly punched and kicked to the head and left unconscious before witnesses helped perform CPR on him until paramedics arrived.
