Alfie, 7, and Matilda, 5, have been catching the bus to primary school in Sutherland for the past six months. The children had been happy boarding the 991 bus each morning, but their mother, Jacqui Phillips, said that had changed in the past few weeks.
Four times in three weeks, the driver has failed to drop the kids off at St Patrick's Primary School.
"On two occasions it clearly had no idea where it was heading, the other two occasions they stopped at Sutherland Station and didn't move any further," Ms Phillips said.
"The children's school is four blocks beyond that."
Ms Phillips was grateful some high school students walked with Alfie and Matilda, helping them cross three main roads safely.
