Liverpool City Council has voted to commence legal proceedings against the Minns government through the Supreme Court to stop the appointment of an administrator, with estimates ratepayers will be slugged $150,000 in costs — and potentially more if the case is unsuccessful.
Last week the Herald revealed that Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun would seek an injunction to stop Local Government Minister Ron Hoenig appointing an administrator while a public inquiry examined explosive allegations contained within an investigative interim report.
